Whilst not all concrete slabs are suitable for a HiPERFLOOR finish, a suitable polished concrete solution can be achieved in most cases with the use of carefully selected sealers.
All grinding and polishing are completed dry and without water. With the use of the latest dust extraction equipment, we can ensure that there is extremely minimal airborne dust throughout the process.
The HiPERFLOOR process utilizes a combination of concrete hardening and diamond polishing technology to achieve a smooth, glass-like finish without any clear coats on the surface. A grind and seal finish relies on topical clear coats being applied to the concrete after grinding.
Depending on the finish of the concrete slab, and the amount of aggregate you’d like to expose, around 2-3mm is removed for a minimal exposed aggregate look, and around 5-6mm for a fully exposed aggregate look.
Our HiPERFLOOR finishes come with Husqvarna’s full 10-year maintenance-free guarantee. Grind and seal finishes will eventually require some maintenance, depending on the amount of traffic through the area. On average a grind & seal finish will have a lifespan of around 3-5 years.
The cost depends on a number of factors such as the size of the area, the required finish, and the quality of the concrete. In most cases, polished concrete is very cost-effective when compared with other flooring options such as tiles and floating floors.
Being certified by Husqvarna is different from being accredited. Accredited means a contractor has sat a 2-day course at Husqvarna and uses their products. Being certified means that we have a long, proven history of thousands of square meters of quality HiPERFLOOR finishes that Husqvarna is proud to guarantee.
